MTSU to Conduct Tornado Sirens Test on Nov. 2, 2026
By MediaFx
MTSU will test its tornado sirens on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at 11:20 a.m., weather permitting. The test, organized by the University Police Department, is part of the university’s monthly schedule to ensure the outdoor warning system functions properly. No safety actions are required, and campus activities will not be disrupted. If inclement weather is expected at the time, the test may be canceled without notice to avoid confusion. MTSU notifies the campus community before each test, which typically occurs on the first Monday of the month, except for holidays or special circumstances. The university also provides tornado preparedness resources at https://www.mtsu.edu/alert4u/tornado/ and allows users to sign up for Rave Mobile Safety alerts via https://mtsunews.com/weather/.
